July 09 Committee Meeting Rescheduled

General News

Due to our next meeting being scheduled for the first week of the school holidays, 14th July 2009, a decision has been made to bring it forward a week to try and get more involvement from Parents and Players.

Therefor, our next meeting will be held on Tuesday 7th of July 2009 commencing at 7:00pm at the Ourimbah Lisarow RSL Club.

It would be appreciated, if you having nothing on that night to come along and get involved with the club.

Hope to see as many there as possible.

Power Under 14 Rnd 10 Report vs Gosford

Under 14's Report

This week we travelled to Adc.ock Park and were up against the Tigers. With a few positional changes the plan was to make our half forward line the focal point of our attack. Unfortunately our midfield were up against a physically bigger group who capitalised on their own ruckwork.

Our backline was put under immense pressure in the 1st half of the game and were tested regularly. The ½ time break allowed us to regroup and focus on carrying out the 1% stuff that needed to be done. We began to contest, shepherd and spoil which was positive to see.

The confidence picked up and the team really lifted after a miserable first ½ . We need to be more confident and support each other more.

Under 16 Rnd 10 Report vs Wyong

Under 16's Report

I had the pleasure of coaching the U16’s team. Once again we showed teams that we will not be defeated easily as we hung in there for the full 4 quarters. The majority of players played different roles and all of them exceeded in their roles. Match awards went to Ethan, Riley and Sam.

Under 12's Rnd 10 Report vs Wyong

Under 12's Report

Another great game on the weekend. We just got beat in the last quarter by a team full of running that no matter how hard we tried we could not quite match them.

Well done Harry for winning this weeks game day trophy for a game that was full of running and tackling that was great to see. Well done to Lewis for a great effort to get this weeks encouragement award. Tim had another great game with four goals. Not quite a goal this week Poppi but we will try and get it this week.

Kelsey we need you to bring your two friends to this weeks game. Kurt when put into the centers he played a great game with the down side there were a few goals kicked against us. Jayden who missed the game due to being sick was missed so hope that he will be back to full fitness for this weeks game.

Our forwards played a great game  Ketisha, Tristan, Poppi, and Tim. Ketisha and Tristan need to slow down and not be in so much of a hurry to get rid of the ball. Steady yourself and if able put the ball into the goal square if not then look to handball it to someone. The two James and Kelsey are doing a great job in the centers.

Our wingers Luke, Paddy, Andy, and Harry are doing a good job just need to lock that ball in their back line. The backs Kurt, Lochie, Matt, and Sam played well just don't know why the four of us stood there and watch the ball roll in for a goal. Lewis and Mac thanks for playing up a big help.

This weeks game sees us up against Saratoga someone we are yet to play so hope this weather holds for the weekend. Please everyone training on Wednesday from 4.30 to 6.00 and 10.00 on Saturday for a training run.

Cheers Michael

Under 10's Rnd 10 Report vs Wyong

Under 10's Report

A somewhat delayed preparation on Saturday (both myself and Ethan were late as well as the jumpers) but despite that a great game. The boys hadn't trained or played for a week or two so were itching to get out there.

The match started well and our team was playing where we left of last game. Our passing was fantastic and we were more than willing to give the handpass. Our kicks hit our targets, especially Mack who again showed composure by taking extra time to hit his teamate on the chest. Our defence was great in the way they kicked out to our wingers who then brought the ball up into the forward line.

We must work on our positioning especially in the forward line as we are left flat-footed and out numbered at constests. A wide variety of goalkickers again shows our talent. These were: Harley (2), Patrick (2), Zac, Lewis, Josh and Matt. Baxter played one of the best games i've seen him play. He got in and under the contests and fed the ball out to our wings. Harley showed great run out of the backs but our Man of the Match was Liam who was always open and provided a reliable option.

Another great game and look forward to training on Wednesday. Max
