A word from our new President

Hi There Niagara Park Junior Football Club,

Welcome to the 2010 season of AFL. Hope you all had a great Christmas, New Year and Australia Day.

I thought i should introduce myself to those who do not know me (or who haven’t heard me!!). I also wanted to say congratulations to the other committee members on your placement.

Just a little about myself, I’m a mum of 2 kids, Tristan plays in the under 12’s and Nikita who will be doing Auskick this season. I work as a nurse and have done so for about 5 years. I have a background in netball and soccer and I am learning about AFL. I love sports and think that is a great thing to get kids into.

2010 is going to be a great year for our club. We will be having an under 9's team and we are looking to field a team in every age group. We are having a couple of rego days. I have been speaking to John Deitz who is the AFL Development Manager Central Coast. He is going to be running a couple of courses throughout the year.

We are still looking for Coaches and Assistant Coaches for various age groups. The club would like all coaches and assistant coaches to have there level 1 certificate. The club is happy to pay half. So this means that you will only be out of pocket around $70. The course is on 27/03/10. Please email me if you are interested.

Remember that our meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month. Our next meeting is 9th Feb. You are all more then welcome to come along and have some input into how our club is run. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me if you require anything.
